Description
Panbio™ Dengue IgM Capture ELISA is used to detect IgM antibodies to dengue antigen in serum as an aid to clinical laboratory diagnosis of patients with clinical symptoms consistent with dengue fever. The Panbio™ Dengue IgM Capture ELISA should be used in conjunction with other dengue serology.
Benefits:
FLEXIBLE
Use in conjunction with Dengue IgG Capture ELISA to differentiate primary and secondary infection.
EASY TO USE
The test uses a single dilution of serum, rather than a series of dilutions required for HAI assays.
COST EFFECTIVE
Break-apart wells and ready-to-use colorcoded reagents are compatible with standard microplate technology.
RAPID
The total incubation time for the Dengue IgM assay is 2 hr 10 min.
Specifications:
255 characterized sera were tested on the Panbio™ Dengue IgM Capture ELISA as part of an in-house study. The sera included 83 endemic seronegative samples, 57 samples from patients with primary dengue infection, and 115 samples from patients with secondary dengue infection. The Panbio™ Dengue IgM Capture ELISA results were compared to the dengue status of the sera to determine sensitivity, specificity, and agreement of the assay relative to the dengue serological status.
Serological Sensitivity – Primary infection : 94.7% (54/57)
Serological Sensitivity – Secondary infection : 55.7% (64/115)
Serological Specificity – Negatives : 100% (83/83)
